Last week we started Freckles Film Recommendations with the return to screen for Dracula. And this week I'm going to recommend the latest from director David Fincher's collection called Gone Girl (currently no.1 UK movie), a thriller based on the novel of the same name by author Gillian Flynn.
It stars Batman aka Ben Affleck (Nick Dunne) who is happily married to the UK's own Rosamund Pike (Amy Dunne) and on their fifth anniversary Nick gets in contact with the police as Amy disappears. As expected everyone who knows the couple is very concerned and offering Nick a shoulder to cry on as they attempt to find out what happened to his wife. But does Nick know more then he is telling his close ones and the police? What would he have to hide? This movie is getting alot of buzz to the point of some Oscar talk for Miss Pike.
